The ResistTel-GSM has been designed for use wherever wired telephone networks are either unavailable or the installation of such networks is too complicated or expensive. When connected to a solar
panel (optional) it can even be fully operated without a power supply network. In case of an alarm it is still possible to use it to report an emergency. This possibility is guaranteed by virtue of
the fact that two SIM cards from two different providers can be operated in the telephone simultaneously.
Design
The telephone is constructed in a housing made of glass-fibre reinforced polyester with a protection degree of IP66 and is extremly robust due to the use of a stainless steel (V4A) keypad. It
incorporates a rechargeable lithium ion battery with a capacity of approx. 5 Ah, which, when fully charged, translates to a standby time of approx. 30 days or a speaking time of 21 hours. It features
a quad-band GSM with the frequency bands GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, and GSM 1900.
